The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) has announced the change in venue for the match between Bafana Bafana of South Africa and Ghana's Black Stars in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifiers.


The duo are in Group C comprising of countries such as Sudan, Sao Tome and Principe. The venue was changed from Accra Sports Stadium to Cape Coast Stadium after the date was changed from 15th November to 14th November.



SAFA through their official website made the confirmation of the change in venue saying   “The 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier between Ghana and Bafana Bafana has been moved from the capital Accra to Cape Coast”.



The match which is slated to take off at 19:00 GMT on Thursday November 14th will surely be a tough game for the Black Stars looking at how Bafana Bafana  tormented the Pharaohs of Egypt. Both teams are hoping to win their first games in order to boost their morale as both countries aspire to finish at the top of the Group C table. 



The South Africa Football Association (SAFA) added,  “After the match, both teams will be flying out for their second match of the qualifiers – the Black Stars will be away to Sao Tome and Principe on Monday, 18 November, while Bafana Bafana will host Sudan at Orlando Stadium on Sunday, 17 November”.
